Mom·pre·neur Journey

Beginning this new Mompreneur Journey, thus far it has been exciting and nerve wrecking to share with you all. I just want to share with you all how I got started, how I get inspired and most of all how to become a mompreneur!

I’ve always wanted to start my own business but wasn’t exactly sure how to get started. After months of running a free blog page, I later decided to start my very own blog from the ground up. First, I did my research. Figuring out hosting, templates and the niche of my blog (which by the way I am still figuring out). As of now I am blogging as my hobby and hope that in the future my blog will be successful and monetized.

Starting a new business?

  1. Figure out your personal reasons to start a new business. Are you starting a business solely because you want to make money? Is it your passion project or any other reason that may motivate you to want to start a new venture.
  2. Who do you believe your audience is? How will you connect with people, what is it you have to say that you believe will attract people to your new business. Are you a new blogger, opening a small boutique… Who will be your targeted audience/ supporters? This is important to figure out so you can know how to market and strategize how to connect with them.
  3. Write a business plan. Get yourself a journal that will be specifically used for your business and all other important information regarding your business. Write down 3 goals you have set for your business, for every goal list 5 ways you plan to achieve that goal. When running a business especially now social media is a very important “FREE” way to advertise and market your business. You need to set daily/ weekly schedules to help you stay organized and consistent.
  4. Trial and error period, please know there are going to be some moments you want to give up.. Don’t!!! It gets easier the more time you invest in yourself and your business. You start to learn what does and does not work for your business. Failure is a big part of success and every new business will have its wins and loses. Stay persistent, don’t give up and always believe in yourself and try again.

What inspired me to start a blog?

Well, I just wanted an outlet I could share my thoughts and personal experiences. I believe that I have so much to share with the world and that many people would be able to relate to me. Or simply just enjoy my lifestyle fashion content. I am inspired when I see other up and coming bloggers, who have been very supportive and encouraging. I never believed I could be a blogger because my writing is less than perfect, BUT I know over time I will get better especially once I find my niche for my blog. Now, that I am a blogger with a published website I plan to invest in myself and business more by taking classes to help me grow more traffic here on my website.

The reason I titled this blog post mompreneur is that I am a mom of 2 beautiful girls, who took a leap of faith to start my own business. It’s a wonderful thing to be a SAHM + Blogger, I get to spend lots of quality time with my children and work on my passion project. I hope blogging becomes my forever career. If you’re a mom (or if you aren’t a mom, that’s fine too) and want to start a business. Ask yourself what’s holding you back is it fear or failure? Remember what I said before, failing is necessary to succeed.

Sincerely Blake. Xo

Hello. I see that you don’t update your site too often. I know that writing articles is time consuming and boring.

But did you know that there is a tool that allows you to create new articles using
existing content (from article directories or other blogs from your
niche)? And it does it very well. The new posts are high quality and pass the copyscape test.
Search in google and try: miftolo’s tools
