  • Mayonnaise
  • Dijon mustard
  • Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Fresh or Dried chives
  • Any cooking oil of your choice (I used vegetable oil)

Prep takes about 10 minutes. Total cook time 20 minutes.

Cooking Instructions

First, you’re going to want to start by prepping your crab cakes. Take a large bowl, add your lump crab meat, 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise, a dime-sized amount of dijon mustard. Gently use your hands to blend the ingredients without getting the crab too mashed, then you want to make them into a crab patty. Now taking your crab patties lightly toss the patties in the bread crumbs, obey seasoning. Now since you have your patties prepared, take a pan and add in a little bit of cooking oil on medium heat and allow the crab patties to brown for about 2-3 minutes on each side. To prepare your asparagus take a large pan with boiling water, add in a dash of salt. You want to allow your asparagus to steam for a few minutes to your desired liking. To pouch your egg, boil water in a pot once the water comes to a boil you want to gently crack the egg over the pot of water and allow to cook for a few minutes. Now taking two more eggs you want to only preserve the the yolk, we’re going to use this to make a special sauce. Once you have your egg yolks but into a small pan, add in 5 tablespoons of butter. Now whisk until you have a creamy consistency and your sauce is completed. The final step is to plate your meal, first adding the asparagus, topped with the crabcake, poached egg, and the special sauce created with the egg yolks poured on top… Add a dash of salt, pepper, and fresh or dried chives. That completes this finger licking good recipe. Below I will attach my video of me preparing this super easy and delicious recipe!
