VEGAN Buffalo Cauliflower & Onion Rings

Hello babes, I just wanted to share this easy VEGAN Buffalo Cauliflower & Battered Onion Rings. This is a great recipe to try if you’re transitioning or simply if you’re just looking for new ways to spice up some of your favorite goto meals. First, let’s start off with the ingredients we will need to complete this yummy recipe.

Ingredients

Buffalo Cauliflower

  • 1 Head of Cauliflower
  • 1 Cup of Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 1/2 Tablespoon of Butter
  • 1 Bottle of Hot Buffalo Sauce
  • 1 Cup of All Purpose Flour

Battered Onion Rings

  • 1 Large White Onion
  • 2 Cup of All Purpose Flour (or)
  • Panko bread crumbs
  • 1/4 Cup of Tapioca Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons of Onion Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 1/2 Tablespoon of Paprika
  • 1 1/2 Cups of Water
  • Vegetable Oil (Optional If You Have An Airfryer)

For the Buffalo Cauliflower preheat your over to 425° F. Take your head of cauliflower and cut each floret off the stem. Once you have the cauliflower cut take 2 large bowls: one bowl add 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk and the second bowl add 1 cup of all-purpose flour. Then you place the cauliflower florets in the almond milk, once saturated in almond milk remove and toss in the all-purpose flour. Once you have completed those steps place the cauliflower on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes. While that cauliflower is baking take a small pan, add in 1 bottle of hot buffalo sauce and 1/2 table spoon. Let buffalo sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes, then toss the cauliflower florets in the buffalo sauce. Now the final step after tossing the cauliflower in buffalo sauce place back on baking sheet put the buffalo cauliflower back in the oven for 2 minutes. Now that it’s complete you will have nice flavor filled buffalo cauliflower bites.

On to the Battered Onion Rings. You will start by cutting your onion. Once you completed this step put 1 cup of all-purpose flour in a bowl, 1/4 cup of tapioca, add 2 tablespoons of onion powder, 1/2 tablespoons of paprika, 1/2 teaspoons of salt, 1-1 1/2 cups of water depending on what consistency you want to batter the onions in. Now toss your onions in the batter created with the ingredients listed above. Take another bowl and add 1 cup of all-purpose flour or panko bread crumbs and toss the battered onion rings. For the final step add your cooking oil in a deepfryer/pot/ pan, set to medium heat and allow the oil to get hot before adding in onion rings, allow the onion rings to cook for 3-4 minutes.
