Beautiful Dominican Republic- Punta Cana

For our four year anniversary we decided to take a romantic getaway to Punta Cana DR. During our stay we visited many sites such as private beaches, caves, coffee and chocolate plantation. Such a beautiful country it is from the architecture of the homes, the aesthetic of the decor and the many beautiful souls I meet. Travel isn’t just about a getaway, but an experience to learn and love other countries culture.

We stayed in an all inclusive resort for six days and we enjoyed wandering outside of the resort to see the real DR. To really experience how many are still living in this day and age, it truly humbled me. I left the Dominican Republic more appreciate of the things I have and not just materialistic but necessities like food, water, and shelter. Despite the conditions of some areas it’s a beautiful country and many beautiful spirits. I met Haitians and Dominicans who showed me so much love and embrace, regardless of where we were we all originated from the motherland. Just like here in America there are many people who come to this country to provide a better life for their families.

Amongst the beautiful country and culture my husband and I enjoyed visiting many tourist attractions. We visited many shops, I had the pleasure of having Dominican expresso which was much stronger than my usual cup of coffee ?. Gorgeous handmade jewelry out of this world, I got a beautiful bracelet and ring with Larimar gem stones/ pearls that can only be found in the Dominican Republic.

Our Dune Buggy excursion lasted nearly half the day and it was pretty awesome. It was my first time driving a dune buggy, it was very intense with the humps, bumps and mud. By the time we finished we were covered in mud and dust, we looked like dust busters but I was well worth it.

Admiring the beautiful nature & all of God’s beautiful creations. Photographed above is a beautiful red hibiscus flower, I just had to capture its beauty. Flowers are one of my favorite things to get snaps of.

Dominican Republic Bavaro Beach, I had the pleasure to be greeted my hundreds of little fishes swimming around me.

Husband and I enjoying the many yummy alcohol beverages we had. It’s never to early to have a cocktail on vacation is it?

D.R have taught me to appreciate the small things in life. It also taught me no matter how little food, clothing, or shelter they had the it wouldn’t break their spirits. They’re rich in spirit and it humbles me when I come back to the STATES. ??
